Funding entity STREAM (REPSOL - GAS NATURAL LNG)
This project reviews the regulatory framework and price trends in the wholesale electricity market of El Salvador and in the Regional Electricity Market in CentroAmerica. The aim is to provide a recommendation to STREAM on the profitability to invest in a new 500 MW CCGT power plant using natural gas located in El Salvador. Finally, a estimation for incomes coming from energy sales is calculated taking into account the main uncertainties.
